Renaissance Milwaukee West, AAA Four Diamond premium distinctive hotel, is seeking a Barback to join our team in Eldr+Rime. 

Eldr+Rime takes inspiration from Scandinavian lifestyle while serving beverage and food that are familiar to every American palate. The name, which loosely translates to Fire+Ice highlights grilling over live fire and wood oven roasting while also offering delectable seafood prepared over ice. We have one of the best cocktail bars in Milwaukee. Featuring our happy hour or as we refer to it, Hygge Time. In addition, our patio for outdoor beverage and dining.

Role Summary:

• This position is significant to the success of any bar as it is responsible for backing up the bar ambassadors, ensuring supplies and glassware are maintained and contributing to the overall guest experience. It is also a great position to learn bar operations in order to advance your career.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer engaging and friendly service.
• Ensure clean glassware is stocked at all times.
• Re-stock ice, garnishes, and mixes as needed.
• Maintain clean rags and bar supplies.
• Ensure proper inventory is readily available. Act as runner for bar ambassadors as needed.
• Be on time, in the correct uniform, clean and neatly pressed. Be well-groomed at all times.
• Know the layout of the bar. Navigate safely and efficiently while performing duties.
• Pick up empty glasses and dishes from the tables and bar tops. Wipe down tables and bar tops.
• Participate in end of day cleaning as required.
• Communicate security and operational issues observed on the floor.
• Demonstrate safe working behaviors at all times.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience in barback or comparable position preferred. 
• Flexible availability including nights and weekends required. 

Compensation:

• The starting pay for this position is $15.00 per hour. This is a tipped position.
