Job Description
Summary:
Entry-level lab technician role supporting organic synthesis and polymer research. Involves hands-on wet chemistry, solution preparation, and routine analytical tasks under the guidance of senior researchers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform wet bench chemistry, including solution and dilution preparation.
- Assist with organic reactions and polymer synthesis under supervision.
- Conduct routine analytical characterization and basic data analysis.
- Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Follow and help improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately record experimental results in lab notebooks.
- Support test material preparation and equipment setup.
- Participate in scientific discussions and collaborative problem-solving.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with lab practices and scientific terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
- Undergraduate research experience is a plus.
