Job description:

We are looking for a Shop Painter / Helper for a High volume steel fabrication welding construction company with experience in Construction, fabrication shops, welding or metal manufacturing. Welding shop experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Prepare steel and metal surfaces for finishing through grinding, buffing, sanding, and cleaning.
• Mix paints to proper specifications and ensure correct application consistency.
• Operate spray guns to paint columns, beams, and other fabricated metal components.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to assist with surface prep and finishing tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to company quality standards.
• Other duties may include: general help/labor at the job assisting with metal fabrication, cleaning, organizing.

Skills:

• Experience painting steel and other metals.
• MUST know how to use a spray gun.
• MUST know how to mix paint prior to applying on products. 
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools.
• $22 - $24 per hour.
• Steady schedule, stable opportunity.
