Job Description

A software business analyst within VGM HOMELINK works with leaders and team members to identify opportunities for improvement in business operations and processes. Successful software business analysts possess the ability to identify and design effective solutions for complex problems, understand needs and effectively communicate technical issues, ensure applications work as intended, develop innovative and user-friendly solutions, and stay current with evolving methodologies and technology.

The Business Analyst I position in VGM HOMELINK is a mid-level position. The ideal candidate will have completed a position as a Junior Business Analyst, internship, bootcamp, or have equivalent experience in the various responsibilities necessary to be successful in this role. This position supports HOMELINK by compiling, formatting, and reporting information and material to key stakeholders, development teams, system architects, BA team, and the QA team

Responsibilities/Duties Of The Job

The Business Analyst I should demonstrate the ability to contribute to the full analysis of business operations. The experience gained in this position enables you to collaborate with other team members to equip them with necessary information.

  • Conduct detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and propose solutions to business operations and processes.
  • Lead sessions with members of the dev team over gathering requirements in business processes and systems.
  • Understand and communicate stakeholder requirements to the technical team.
  • Keep the PMO process updated and take role in project cadence and success.
  • Assist in the analysis, documentation, and maintenance of business processes using relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, system architects, business analysts, and QA to ensure successful project delivery by meeting their needs.
  • Follows strict confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security guidelines.
  • Create test plans for system testing and facilitate user acceptance testing.
  • Learn and apply new methodologies as needed.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the VP Information Services.

Education/Experience

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field. Previous internship preferred.
  • 1-4 years of experience in business analyst positions or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must comply with continuing education per Company, regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements’

  • Preferred knowledge or experience in Ancillary Healthcare, Home Medical Equipment, and/or Workers’ Compensation Industry.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programs.

Compensation Overview: The annual base salary range for this position is based upon a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.
